Questions and answers January 1968 Question : Are the SPHERES similar to the regions of our own world? AREDOS : They are similar to your terrestrial regions in every respect. • There are wonderful landscapes, flowers, animals and even houses and gardens. Only the SUBSTANCE of these things is different. It is based on a different FREQUENCY. Imagine yourself changing your TV to a different channel. People’s consciousness however remains as it was on Earth. Those with specific character traits will retain those in the hereafter for a while. • We do not have the kind of physical matter you are familiar with. Our PHYSICAL MATTER is controlled through our will. Our fantasy can produce gardens and houses. I know that you will find this difficult to imagine. One could regard us as great liars. It is indeed very difficult to convince you of this SECOND EXISTENCE. But our opportunities to configure things are much greater. (Comment: In order to create anything one wants with the power of one’s will in the spiritual realm, one has to learn to deal with one’s power of thought in the physical world.) Question : Will it be possible one day to take photos in the spiritual realm? ELIAS : This is very possible indeed. One will probably invent and develop a sensitive photographic coating capable of registering reflexes that are invisible to the human eye. May 1968 Question : We know from you that every positively aligned soul must take part in providing a service to mankind in the hereafter also. How are these assignments distributed? ELIAS : Everyone is allocated their own assignment. Every one of us will one day be allowed to determine our own assignment; and later on – depending on whether one has the right to do so – allocate an assignment to others. Everything is optimally organised in the so-called hereafter. I say “so-called hereafter”, because your hereafter is our here and now. You for instance say “the people over there” and you mean those that live in East Germany. But the people over there also say “the people over there” and they mean you. As you can see, the terms “here and now” and “hereafter” are relative. Objection : But there is a difference, namely that you can see us, whilst we cannot do so.
