-30 - This is why living in the hereafter is quite similar to our life here: There are large ART GALLERIES, MUSIC HALLS and THEATRES. All of this sounds as fantastic as a fairytale. International spiritual contacts do not contradict one another. The same communications were received everywhere so that no doubt exists in this respect. The hereafter has however a different side also: There are areas of misery, so-called SLUMS. Theology calls these lower SPHERES “hell”. It is quite tragic that mankind on Earth does not believe in the existence of this hell enough. • The divine LAW of CAUSALITY makes it impossible for otherworldly souls to reside in a SPHERE they do not fit in, that is to say, they do not deserve to reside in. Beauty and ugliness are spiritual superlatives: Beauty in the positive SPHERES – indescribable ugliness in the lower REGIONS. All of this is verifiable truth – verifiable through every spiritual contact. One can not buy one’s way into the HIGHER SPHERES with financial means – no matter how large they may be. This is a good thing otherwise GOD would not be just. Otherworldly VALUES are different: Heartfelt love is very valuable coinage. Good will and genuine endeavours to progress are further “means of payment” one can use “to purchase” many an advantage. But because the majority of mankind has no idea about all of these things, we have these most incredible conditions here on Earth. • Many of the highly regarded and envied people here on Earth go to the otherworldly SLUMS after they cast off their material bodies. There is an additional phenomenon that is very characteristic: • Spiritually underdeveloped souls cannot effect beautiful clothing for themselves with the help of their creative powers. The reason for this is that the clothing of the soul is made from the same SUBSTANCE as one’s own ASTRAL BODY. The clothing is the skin of the soul as it were. This is an unerring identification attribute of every otherworldly soul. • An evil SLUM-SOUL is devoid of light, that is to say, dark, dull and badly dressed. Good souls on the other hand are bright, luminous through their (inner) light emanation and majestic and cleanly dressed besides. They are recognised as light, eminent spirits from a great distance. Question and answers Question : If the spiritual realm exhibits a similarity to our world to some extent, the question arises of whether all the ugly things like slums, dismal conditions etc. are also present in the spiritual REGIONS?
