-29 - It certainly is not enough for a scientist to reach for pertinent literature in order to convince himself. (One cannot learn to play a piano from books alone!) When a researcher’s heart is full of doubt, he is not inclined to believe a spiritual explanation, even if it is ever so convincing. He is too prejudiced to do so. He is lost without the practical side of it. Due to all the available evidence, the serious spiritualist has absolutely no doubt about the fact that the souls of deceased people can make contact with us. The communication is sometimes adequate, sometimes even very good. • One can only shake one’s head, if one takes the ignorance and the threadbare explanations of the representatives of sciences that balk at this insight, into consideration. There must be very specific reasons for this behaviourism. We have tried to get behind this mystery, because it is of great importance for spiritualism. According to our determination, we are dealing with a natural reaction. This is the same with all those that come in contact with spiritualism. The very thought that completely invisible and imperceptible people continue to live without a physical body automatically shuts down their ability to comprehend. The people on Earth were taught something else during their terrestrial existence: School books describe the death of a person as something final. This is why the human mind fails in regards to psycho- scientific questions. One can only gradually and only through compelling evidence get used to it. But once this hurdle has been overcome, the mind takes part again and one’s spiritual development runs along different lines. • Not a lot of academics can comprehend this process, they think that spiritualists are mentally restricted and psychopathic fanatics. It is therefore very important that the laymen – many academics have to be counted amongst them because of their lack of practise – have to be familiarised with the supernatural first. They virtually have to be “acclimatised” first. If no personal experiences are at hand, only a shock will promote this insight. May 1966 The exploration of the spiritual realm (By Herbert Viktor Speer) As the people living here on Earth have to return to the spiritual realm one day, they take all their impressions, habits and remembrances with them. It therefore comes as no surprise that the spiritual SPHERES exhibit great similarities with our terrestrial life. The layman finds it difficult to imagine what the spiritual realm might look like. Because of our contacts with otherworldly beings, we have a better idea: The souls in the hereafter dress similar to when they lived on Earth. Only the material of all things is different. This SUBSTANCE is a PSEUDO-MATTER that reacts to the will of individuals, that is to say, concentrated thoughts groups and forms it. Everything the human fantasy can imagine can be put into practise, can become reality in this way. There are HOUSES, TENEMENTS, GARDENS and WORKSHOPS. Things are being created and formed, just like on Earth – the difference being that we’re not dealing with manual labour. • People possess a creative force in the hereafter they can exercise on spiritual MATTER.
