38 An experiment in a scientific laboratory doesn’t take these conditions into consideration. One doesn’t make an appointment with the hereafter, but demands proof without the necessary PROTECTION and without spiritual ORGANIZATION. But if no proper contact is established in this way, doubt is nurtured and the research literally comes to standstill.  The main conditions for every positive otherworldly contact are LOVE, TRUST and HARMONY! The question is: Can these important conditions actually be fulfilled in a laboratory experiment? Let’s take a chemical or physical experiment as a comparison: To be able to repeat a scientifically acknowledged experiment, all the requirements are to be accurately observed. The slightest mistake guarantees a negative result. One repeats the experiment along predetermined formulas. Spiritual contact also requires an exacting observance of the requirements. But even if one believes to have fulfilled all requirements, there is no guarantee that maybe one of the most important factors is still missing. With spiritual experiments the repetitions are always different, because the medium is always in a different state of mind, or the participants react mentally completely differently compared to a previous experiment. This is why SPIRITUALISM needs its own sphere. It needs its own devotional room, its established participants, its selected music and many other important requirements. If one deviates from this ever so slightly, the whole sequence of the séance changes. It is therefore no surprise that private circles exhibit better results than a laboratory experiment with all its assorted apparatuses.  Our spiritual LEADER ARGUN emphasised that for every positive contact with the hereafter, a high degree of TRUST is necessary. This trust should not be confused with gullibility! But where there is not enough LOVE or HARMONY present and where in place of TRUST only mistrust or doubt dominates, only lower, deceitful spirits make an appearance. But these are not the “spiritual dead” we could receive a good INDOCTRINATION from or the TRUTH for that matter. -  We have experienced it often enough that one single participant, by his negative thoughts, created such a disturbance, that the contact was interrupted. Some academic scientists are ready these days to fulfil the religious requirement of the medium. One does these favours for the medium so that it doesn’t become temperamental. But what’s the good of it, if the participants are completely negative in their inner attitude, even if they do not let on and seem to willingly participate? The spiritual world reacts accordingly!
