39 The spiritual background is hardly paid attention to, well it is actually abnegated or talked out of existence . Spiritistic phenomena are preferred, they are however not investigated according to the spirit, but one rather tries to explain these unusual apparitions according to the laws of physics. If this doesn’t succeed, ergo - even finding a false - explanation, the whole thing remains an enigma that one might be able to explained at a later point in time. One does however still assume that one will probably furnish such an explanation along purely physical lines. The mistake is clearly apparent: The realm of the spirit is a REALM of the SPIRIT that actually has nothing to do with physical matter. The fact that the realm of the spirit might exert an influence on physical matter is exceedingly exceptional . This influence can actually only take place through the intimate contact between the two worlds. • The general sciences must be clear about the fact that the realm of the spirit can only be assessed on hand of spiritual LAWS. But what are the key characteristics of the spirit? 1. The invisible EGO of human beings. 2. Intelligence. 3. Perception – the things we call our “senses”. The exploration of the realm of the spirit can only take place according to these points of view, this is the way we approach this subject. Intelligence is very much at the forefront , because it must be recognisable to such a degree that we know with certainty that we are dealing with an otherworldly INTELLIGENCE. There are a thousand ways to ascertain this. The individuality of the communicating spirit must be completely different from our own individuality. We managed to faultlessly ascertain this otherworldly individuality of the ALIEN SPIRIT during our séances. The spirit’s knowledge must be more substantial and the reaction of the spirit faster. The actions of a spirit can even be ascertained in the simplest of spook phenomena, if one is familiar with what is going on. Weak excuses do not help mankind. Science demands trust and we demand unconditional courage to speak the truth. Thought and image processes taking place within the brain have been examined in vain up to now. Spiritualism provides considerable clues in regards to the functional processes of these mental tasks. We therefore recapitulate: The main function of the brain consists in regulating, respectively controlling the whole physical body with all its organs, that is to say, the brain is a relay for one’s physical existence. All invisible conscious processes like THINKING, PLANNING, DATA PROCESSING and APPRECIATION are universal and not of a physical, respectively of a material nature. • No surgeon will therefore aver be able to detect the soul in a physical body.
