The all-important Why

42 During this short time without heartbeat and breathing, some of the “clinically dead” experience something strange: They leave their body, they float under the ceiling and are able to clearly see their body and all those present (Remember Paul Meek when he arrived at the clinic as a child). They hear what is being said and they experience the endeavours to resuscitate their body from outside as it were. They are often able to move to other rooms. Or they might move through a tunnel towards a light where they find themselves in a very beautiful environment, in a wonderful light and in a heavenly state. The latter has often been reported. But it can also happen that they suddenly gain an insight into their life up to this point. They see the things they did well and not so well crystal clear. They experience the thoughts and the feelings of people that they inflicted suffering upon during their life, consciously or unconsciously. They are then ashamed of themselves and they want to atone for it. They recognise that things are only really good when they are done with love. One was able to resuscitate these people and they were allowed to (or had to) return to their body. And this is the only reason why they were able to talk about their experiences later. Some of them didn’t really like the idea of having to return to their damaged or seriously ill body, because they had felt so happy during the short time they had spent in the light. They had been filled with an intensive feeling of lightness, warmth and love. They might also have been able to look back at their life like through a timelapse apparatus - as one calls is - and recognised all the things that they hadn’t actually done all that well. This is why a lot of those that had a near-death experience tend to live considerably more conscious and also make more of an effort. They want to know more about life after this life and they want to become better human beings. Death has completely lost its horror after this experience, because they actually experienced the fact that life goes on, that this other world actually exists and that it is beautiful there. When one enters “near-death experiences you-tube” into one’s search engine on the internet, one immediately encounters people that report about their own near-death experiences and about how their attitude towards life and their whole life often changed thereafter.
