Spiritualism versus Spiritism

77 Z. L. : This is absolutely impossible , because my work within this mission is based on self- experience. We have accepted nothing without first testing it. We have also ascertained that the other world is very much in favour that we test everything . They don’t resent our mistrustfulness. On the contrary - the otherworldly world resents anyone who believes everything without any doubt ! These people will eventually end up victims of the lower world of spirits, which is very interested in destroying any faith. Question : What kind of examinations and tests do you apply? Z. L. : To list them all would fill a large book. The most important evidence to us was the fact that the otherworldly world sets nifty traps - and not the other way around. Every time we did fall into such a trap, we had the evidence that the intelligence and the knowledge the OTHER SIDE displayed about us was much greater . Due to their many incarnations, the KNOWLEDGE of these otherworldly TEACHERS is immense! 18. Epilogue by H. V. Speer (Leader of the Medialen Friedenskreis Berlin) Spiritism is more widely spread than commonly assumed. Its practice is usually carried out behind closed doors (1966). One does not like to be looked upon as a backward and superstitious people. In one word: One is ashamed of it! The question of whether spiritism is doing something wrong that it has reasons to be ashamed in the public’s eyes pops up immediately. This situation cannot be analysed and openly discussed enough. Science and theology has to deal with this theme without fanaticism and without prejudice . From our practical point of view we would like to particularly emphasise the following:  About 80% of all house-spiritism practiced these days is pure blasphemy! This high percentage encourages the Churches to wage war against spiritualism and there is also a passage in the Old Testament forbidding contact with the “dead”. But there is no proof that this interdiction is based on a revelation. It seems more like it to us that dreadful experiences during contact with the hereafter were also made during biblical times.  This interdiction once again proves that contact with the “dead” is possible. On the other hand, this contradicts all dogmas in regards to “eternal peace” and “rest in peace” of decedents. We concur with those that insist that there is very little merit when it comes to conversing with departed souls. It is very easily ascertained that one is dealing with spirits, but to establish the real identity of a departed relative is even difficult for an expert in this field.
