Spiritualism versus Spiritism

69 ELIAS : This is an impossibility here on Earth. - One gains a better insight only after a longer period of time in the hereafter. But it will still be difficult even then, very difficult indeed. Self-overestimation is a very dangerous precipice one faces in one’s development. This precipice ought to be approached with humility, otherwise failure can be guaranteed. Knowledge alone is not enough.  KNOWLEDGE brings with it the obligation for better thought and better action! Question :What effect will our teamwork have in the future? ELIAS :When the point in time I already mentioned is here, the time when the great reorientation takes place, that is to say, when the sciences have the GREAT KNOWLEDGE in their hands, our assignment will have been fulfilled and our teamwork will be at an end. Question :We hold the opinion that many circles show too little objectivity . Craving for recognition is placed in first position everywhere. How do you see this? ELIAS :Well, we accept a certain amount of craving for recognition. Every human being possesses some of that in one form or another. But we are talking about extreme cases here. It very much depends on common sense. Question :One is going to say that the doctrines of spiritualism are ancient superstitions. What can we do about this? AREDOS :One ought to explain that if one remains logical, this “superstition” can lead to the TRUTH in spite of this . 14. Message from the spheres of LIGHT Spiritualism verifies that a fully conscious existence exists after one’s physical death. The “dead” as you call them, continue to live here with us. They can return and they do return, but there is more to this. Through contact with the spiritual realm, the people living on Earth can find out why they continue to live:  What is their continued existence all about?  What effects has their present life on Earth on the new life they begin after their demise?  What is the relationship between the two stages of being like? What did they experience as they stepped across the threshold called death?  Did whatever they did, said or thought on Earth turn into a help or a hindrance ?
