3. Psychic connections Question : Most people doubt the existence of a hereafter, because they ascribe these kinds of contacts to delusions or religious ecstasy. How can one get rid of these preconceptions? ARGUN : You have to point out that these contacts reveal “heaven” and “hell” in all sorts of ways. Your experience suffices to describe these characteristics. We are dealing with a battle between the INTELLIGENCES. These apparitions are hardly perceptible during laboratory tests, because evil intelligences avoid this battle. But they work with methods that aim at making the whole thing seem ridiculous. These methods have been very successful for them. Question : Why can the positive INTELLIGENCES not prevent this? ARGUN : Just like the people on Earth, the lower souls have other means to have their way. These otherworldly souls use force and they do not know the meaning of the word consideration. This gives them the advantage. But they come of second best in the long run. Question : Can spirit entities make themselves known without the help of a medium? ELIAS : Only in very exceptional cases, when the necessary ENERGY is available. There are no formulas that one could apply here. It is almost always the combined effort of two forces of opposite polarities.  The whole purpose of the exercise it that a spiritist is supposed to evolve into a spiritualist . Conversations with the “dead” are hardly worthwhile. But the connection with knowledgeable INTELLIGENCES is extremely worthwhile for you. Such a connection denotes a true spiritualist. The doctrine of reincarnation is one attribute of true spiritualism. He, who rejects it, is not a spiritualist by a long shot, even if he deals with making contact with the hereafter! Question : How can someone on Earth recognise a genuine and positive connection? AREDOS : By the kind of language that is used:  No threats  No insults  Considerateness  No betrayal of people  A high degree of sympathy is an excellent sign.
